Proverbs 16:3 “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.” Knowing that good is going to result from your decisions, regardless if things pan out the way you imagined or not, should give your heart and mind immediate peace. God is going to use everything that happens to you for your good. Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” God’s direction in our decision will become clearer and more distinct as we continue to pray and ask for His help We must recognize the God wants us to communicate with Him that God wants to communicate with us.

Proverbs 4:18 “The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of the day.”įaith is an important component to accepting God’s wisdom. Know that he will make a path for you even when it seems impossible. You must keep your hearts open to other possibilities. In the decision-making process, the Lord can bring new revelations and perspectives about the situation. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” James 4:7 “ Submit yourselves, then, to God. Take great comfort and know that God is there for us. Sometimes we may feel like we are backed into a corner over a decision we have to make. This verse reminds us that we can go to our Heavenly Father and receive mercy and grace when we need it the most. Sometime the weight of the decisions we have to make become overbearing. There is grace and mercy for your decisions. Hebrews 4:16 “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” When you have a decision to make God is telling us not to worry about anything, but pray for guidance to make the decision. Philippians 4:6 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” It all comes down to trusting and believing in God to lead us to the right decision. But in the end, we need to make a decision. When faced with a decision, we need to do our homework: write down pros and cons, weigh out every option in our minds, pray, get advice and counsel. Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight” Their views and ideas may give you a different perspective on your situation and the decision you have to make. But most importantly, find someone who knows the Lord and has been following Him for some time. It’s helpful to talk with people who know you, who know your faults and strengths, and who knows the situation. When face with decisions, take the time to talk to your mentors, parents, friends, pastors, or church leaders. Proverbs 15:22 “Without counsel plans fail, but with many advisers they succeed” Reflect and meditate with thankfulness because of the Lord’s goodness Spend time in his presence, in his word, in prayer and find strength because you’ve spent time with God. Waiting for God does not mean you just sit and wait. When we are faced with tough decisions, there’s a need to want a quick solution, but remember that God is working behind-the-scenes for you. Psalm 37:7 “Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes” The Bible’s not meant to be an answer book, but rather a guide to help us get through life and the decisions that come along with it. The word becomes personal and special to you as though it was put there just for you for what ever you’re facing. The Scriptures have the ability to speaks to us. When making a tough decision, it is important to turn to the Scriptures to look for guidance. The command of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes” Psalm 19:8 “The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. We never need to wrestle through these along. His grace is there for every need, every burden, and for every difficult decision you have to make in life. When we pray in faith, God will give us wisdom to make the best choice. When we are faced with a tough decision, we need to spend time in prayer. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.” James 1:5-6 “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.
